On April 15–16, the third Steering Committee Meeting of the GreenPATH project was held in Trieste. GreenPATH, coordinated by ITL, promotes sustainable commuting solutions across various Functional Urban Areas (FUAs) in Central Europe.
One year after the project’s launch, partners shared the latest progress and discussed upcoming activities. Sessions focused on current project actions, ranging from the analysis of new technologies supporting Mobility Management, to the organization of training courses on project-related topics, and the upcoming promotional campaigns for the pilot actions.
GreenPATH aims—through its pilot actions as well—to make the daily use of alternatives to private cars more sustainable and convenient for students and workers, in order to reduce emissions and traffic while improving the quality of life in the involved areas.
In addition to the pilot areas, GreenPATH also includes a study area, Trieste, where partners carried out an analysis of cross-border home-to-work commuting patterns. The results of this analysis were presented during the meeting.
