On June 18th and 19th, the General Assembly of the TRANSCEND project, funded by the Horizon Europe programme, was held in Luxembourg. The first day took place at the University of Luxembourg, where partners discussed ongoing activities, including the Common Framework for ecosystem and resilience analysis, process mining, and the next steps for the development of the TRANSCEND Control Tower.

In the afternoon, the consortium hosted the public event “Enhancing Transport Resilience: Policy Insights under CER and NIS2”, which brought together key stakeholders from Luxembourg to explore the implementation of the CER and NIS2 directives at the national level, particularly in Luxembourg and Spain.

The second day was held at the Cargolux Headquarters. In the afternoon, partners visited the Cargo Centre, managed by LuxCargo Handling. The visit provided insight into the operations of Luxembourg’s main air cargo logistics hub, with a handling capacity of over 1.2 million tonnes of freight per year.

In a context where freight transport is increasingly exposed to complex threats—physical, digital, and hybrid—strengthening the resilience of critical infrastructure is essential to ensuring the security and continuity of the European logistics system.
