SUSTOURISMO project. Discover Ravenna with the public transport
Within the SUSTOURISMO project, the Institute for Transport and Logistics is happy to announce the launch of a new pilot activity in Ravenna that will be running from October 2021 to December 2022.
Download the App on your mobile phone, register and enter the world of SUSTOURISMO: a special prize is waiting for you! The prize is for the first 100 tourists who will visit Ravenna using the public transport and who will record their visits to the main monuments of the city (at least one) on the SUSTOURISMO App.
Which are the public transport ticketing solutions in Ravenna?
It is possible to travel in the Romagna area not only with a single ticket but also with two integrated ticketing solutions called “Romagna Smart Pass” and the “Rail Smart Pass”?
The “Rail Smart Pass” is a special ticket that allows you to discover the whole Romagna with a single ticket, moving freely using the public transport buses and regional trains. Passes are valid for 3 or 7 days (€25 and €50 respectively) and can be purchased in the official ticket offices or on the App “My Cicero”. This ticket is an evolution of the “Romagna Smart Pass”, a ticket that allows you to travel with all buses around Romagna.

How does the SUSTOURISMO reward system in Ravenna work?
It’s easy to participate to the SUSTOURISMO project and get rewarded:
- Download the SUSTOURISMO App for Android and IOS and register;
- Buy a public transport ticket (included the Romagna Smart Pass and/or the Rail Smart Pass) to visit Ravenna and win 950 points by showing your ticket in one of the SUSTOURISMO affiliated points (see below). The staff will credit to you the points (SUSTOURISMO e-wallet) by showing you a QR code to be scanned through the SUSTOURISMO app;
- Visit the 6 monuments of the city indicated in the App, scan the SUSTOURISMO QR code at the entrance and get 50 points per each visited monument;
- Use the other App functionalities (steps counter, free comments, origin-destination assessment) and win additional points;
- Once you have reached 1000 points, go to one of the two affiliated offices and collect your SUSTOURISMO prize. Conditions: without a public transport ticket, tourist cannot be rewarded. Read more about the initiatives’ regulation in the document below.

- MAR – Ravenna Art Museum
- Dante Museum
- Domus of the Stone Carpets
- Rasponi Crypt and Roof gardens of “Provincia” palace
- Tamo Museum – All the adventure of the mosaic
- Classis Ravenna – Museum of the City and of the Territory
Where can you collect your SUSTOURISMO prize and register your Romagna and Rail Smart Passes?
Once you have reached 1,000 points, you can collect your SUSTOURISMO prize by going to one of these offices:
- IAT Ufficio Turismo Ravenna, Piazza S. Francesco, 7, Ravenna
- Punto Bus Ravenna – Start Romagna S.p.A, Piazza Luigi Carlo Farini, 9, Ravenna (only from November 2021)

This initiative was developed by the Institute of Transport and Logistics (ITL) in collaboration with the Municipality of Ravenna and Start Romagna S.p.A. For more information or in case you should experience some problems, use the SUSTOURISMO App dedicated section to send us yours complaints.
