On November 25th, ITL and AMR – Agenzia Mobilità Romagnola hosted an event in San Mauro Pascoli to showcase the open-source SUSTANT WebApp, a digital tool developed within the SUSTANCE project to modernise demand-responsive public transport services in Valmarecchia and Valconca.
SUSTANT was designed with the goal of ensuring maximum accessibility and ease of use, to offer an inclusive experience thanks to targeted design choices and the integration of features tailored to users with specific needs. The Web App is optimised for use on different kinds of devices, with an interface that allows users to make new bookings in just a few steps, view details of their scheduled trips and manage all relevant information.
The testing phase, which involved 3 busses used in the Valmabass and Concabus DRT services, started in March 2025. Thanks to this user-friendly design, SUSTANT has already been used by 7,294 users.
By leveraging digital innovation to make mobility more easily accessible, the initiative is contributing to the project’s objective of addressing the lack of efficient and sustainable public transport in peripheral and cross-border areas of Central Europe.
