On 24–25 March, ITL joined the Final Conference of the SUSTANCE project, held in Trieste and titled “Shaping the Future of Public Transport Connectivity in Central Europe”. Over nearly three years of activity, the project promoted cross-border public transport services and developed innovative ICT-based solutions to enhance sustainable mobility in Central Europe.

Within the project, ITL was particularly involved in the Italian pilot, which developed a new WebApp for booking and managing DRT services in low-density areas of Romagna.

The event, organized under the guidance of the Central European Initiative (CEI), brought together institutional representatives, industry experts, and stakeholders from across Europe. The conference opened with institutional greetings and strategic presentations highlighting the importance of transnational cooperation and the role of macro-regional strategies in strengthening connectivity between regions.

During the two days, the main project results were presented, showcasing the pilot actions carried out, the digital tools developed, and the innovative solutions designed to facilitate simpler and more sustainable cross-border travel. Particular attention was given to the potential for transferring and replicating these results in other areas of Central Europe, supported by shared action plans and strategies.
