Description

PROMARES (Promoting Maritime and Multimodal Freight Transport in the Adriatic Sea) aims to enhance cross-border maritime and multimodal freight transport by involving transport stakeholder and policy makers facing the same cross-border challenges, from both a strategic and operational perspective, increasing cooperation among them. Through PROMARES, all ports generating intermodal and multimodal freight transport, as well as the most relevant intermodal logistic node in the Programme Area, will be able to share best practices and develop common methodologies for ICT applications, to be tested in concrete pilot actions which improve the efficiency and competitiveness of the cross-border maritime and multimodal transport sector.

ITL coordinates the project’s communication activities, engaging various target groups and stakeholders. Both these and the general public are included in targeted events at the local level and the project’s final conference, a transnational workshop organized in Rome to disseminate results to EU policymakers, with the aim of facilitating the adoption of solutions at the European level.
