Description

GreenPATH (Green mobility solutions for Pioneering Actions Towards a Healthy and sustainable commuting) explores sustainable commuting solutions for students and workers within Functional Urban Areas (FUAs). The project aims to develop smart and sustainable mobility solutions through pilot projects, strategies, and action plans, involving 11 partners including public administrations, mobility agencies and operators, universities, and research institutions in Central European countries. To do so, partners are developing a common strategy for the integrated governance of commuter flows in FUAs and providing scalable innovative solutions that leverage new technologies and data-sharing platforms to optimize transport efficiency and improve the overall commuting experience. Expected outcomes include the development of tools to provide real-time information, personalized travel options, and increased integration between different services.

As Lead Partner, ITL oversees all thematic, managerial and communication activities of the project, as well as the coordination of the Consortium. The Foundation leads the following activities:

  • Development of the methodology for implementing Territorial Needs and Gaps analyses
  • Co-design of innovative solutions
  • Raising awareness actions
  • Pilot testing and implementation
  • Engaging stakeholders

More specifically, ITL is in charge of implementing a pilot action for the design, development and real testing of an innovative mobility management initiative in the port area of Ravenna, with a specific focus on industrial areas. ITL also acts as a linking partner to involve the Emilia-Romagna Region, local transport operators and the other municipalities in project activities.
