Description
Di-PEGASUS’ main objective is to develop innovative technologies to enable transport services based on the autonomous, sustainable and cost-effective operation of seaplanes, VTOL aircraft and drones.
The project will also develop a digital platform to assist stakeholders in defining robust business models, capable of analyzing investment profitability, costs of available technologies, and key performance indicators, including effectiveness in terms of investment costs, job creation and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. The purpose of this platform will be to support policymakers and various stakeholders in promoting the development of the sector.
ITL is involved in the Italian use case of the project, which aims to promote the uptake of autonomous drone operations in the logistics sector by simulating their use for the delivery of medicines to rural pharmacies in the Bologna Apennines.
