Description

ADRIPASS PLUS aims to capitalize on the positive results achieved by ADRIPASS, which focused on analyzing and better understanding the physical and non-physical barriers limiting the sustainable development of multimodal transport in the Adriatic-Ionian region. The project does this this by developing ICT applications and drafting and adopting a transnational strategy to improve multimodal transport in the ADRION area.

To further develop sustainable solutions for improving multimodal freight transport in the region, ADRIPASS PLUS focuses on the following aspects:

  • Engagement of stakeholders in updating the transnational strategy developed by ADRIPASS, with a particular emphasis on its resilience to the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting economic crisis
  • Capitalization, update and enhancement of existing ICT platforms as tools to support the dematerialization of port processes, improving their efficiency and generating tangible impacts on sea-to-hinterland connectivity
  • Dissemination of results at regional, national, and transnational levels to raise awareness of the solutions developed under European territorial cooperation projects among transport stakeholders, as well as regional and national authorities.

Through the outcomes of ADRIPASS PLUS, and thanks to the institutional dialogue promoted within the framework of the already established Transnational Cooperation Network, the transnational strategy for enhancing multimodal transport in the ADRION region is updated, taking into account the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the perspectives of transport actors and national and European policymakers.

ITL is responsible for all activities focused on further enhancing the ICT Platforms previously developed in the ports of Bar and Koper within the ADRIPASS project. Furthermore, it monitors the concrete implementation of the ICT investments. The Foundation also coordinates the project communication strategy, focused on the promotion of outcomes and results, and provides inputs for stakeholders’ involvement, relevant target groups and tools for results dissemination.
