On Tuesday, September 23rd, the event “A Morning with Mobility Managers” was held at the Port of Ravenna.
The meeting, organized within the framework of the GreenPATH and Lab MOVE-UP projects by Fondazione ITL, with the support of Redas and NIER, showcased two successful Mobility Management experiences from the regional territory.
The first, presented by Serena Leone, Mobility Manager of the Bologna Freight Village, illustrated the measures adopted to improve employee mobility within the companies based in the Freight Village, particularly the achievement of establishing a working group with Institutions, which led to the development of new direct public transport routes between the Freight Village and the city of Bologna.
The second experience was presented by Barbara Melotti, Mobility Manager of Bologna Airport, who showcased a wide range of services and incentives developed for both employees and passengers to reach the airport. Among the initiatives highlighted were Bike to Work, the expansion of the bike station, the implementation of a bike-sharing hub, discounted rates for car sharing, and an integrated intermodal subscription.
Following the presentations, Redas and NIER coordinated an open discussion session, which provided participants with the opportunity to exchange views and impressions, creating a direct link between the experiences shared and future initiatives for the Port of Ravenna.
The final part of the meeting was dedicated to a detailed explanation of the EMMA platform, presented by Massimo Infunti of MobilitySquare. Developed by the Piedmont Region, EMMA is the platform designed for the collection and analysis of data essential for drafting Home-to-Work Travel Plans. The presentation offered participants a preview of the platform, which will be tested by the mobility managers of companies operating in the port as part of one of the pilot actions of the GreenPATH project.
