On Thursday, December 5, Lab MOVE-UP workshops kicked off at the North-Central Adriatic Sea Port System Authority, with the participation of numerous port companies, trade associations, unions, and the port company.
The project aims to create a stable network in the area focused on mobility, bringing together stakeholders, companies, small and medium-sized port entities, and public authorities. The goal is to enhance the commuting experience of those working daily at the port, while reducing congestion and fostering integration between the urban and port areas.
The day began with the institutional greetings of Councillor Annagiulia Randi, who reaffirmed the commitment to support increasingly safe and sustainable mobility in the region. ITL Foundation presented an overview of infrastructure and mobility services in the Port of Ravenna, with a particular focus on the area’s accessibility.
The morning continued with the workshop “The Port and the Mobility of Tomorrow”, moderated by ITL Foundation and Clust-ER Innovate. Through the creation of worker profiles and their mobility schedules, a map of the various mobility needs within the worker community was developed. The aim was to identify key issues in mobility to and from the port and explore the available commuting options for different user groups.
In the afternoon, a focus group titled “Co-designing the Community of Mobility Managers in the Port Area” was facilitated by Housatonic and Clust-ER Urban Economy Participants reflected on the objectives and potential activities of the community of port area Mobility Managers, supported by concept maps created by Housatonic.
