On Thursday, March 12th, ITL hosted the first live demonstration of the new human-machine interface for drone swarm management developed within the Di-PEGASUS project, in front of an audience of drone pilots and industry experts.

The session was opened by Unifly Consulting (formerly EuroUSC Italia), which presented the project’s journey to date, highlighting the initial phases, current developments, and future prospects.

Next, Deep Blue presented the Italian use case, giving participants a concrete view of the operational context for which the platform was designed and the main real-world challenges to be addressed.

Following this, the RINA team conducted the live demonstration of the control station, showcasing mission planning, flight trajectory visualization, real-time monitoring, and post-mission analysis through replay and telemetry data.

The discussion with drone pilots explored the main current challenges in drone operations, including airspace integration, U-space readiness, operational constraints, safety procedures, and the platform’s adaptation to evolving regulations.
