On April 8th and 9th, ITL was in Budapest for the GRETA project meeting hosted by BKK.
As Lead Partner, ITL coordinated the sessions, in which partners shared updates, results and next steps about project activities. In particular, discussions focused on the pilots being implemented in the cities of Budapest, Poznan, Reggio Emilia, Verona and Maribor, where GRETA aims to address multiple challenges of last-mile logistics, including the reduction of emissions, congestion and traffic in urban areas.
The project intends to develop successful solutions which can later be replicated in other cities: to make this possible, partners are also collaborating with external organisations, companies and local authorities to identify ways to adapt them to other urban areas with similar concerns.
During the meeting, partners also had a chance to take part in a study visit of Budapest’s District VIII, where they learned about curbside management solutions implemented in the neighbourhood.
In the coming weeks, all pilot partners will begin their activities, working closely and continuously with GRETA partners and external projects to foster collaboration and synergies.
Looking ahead, a workshop titled “Unlocking Innovation in Urban Logistics: The Role of Stakeholder Governance” is scheduled for 7 May 2025, along with additional meetings of the GRETA Permanent Working Group involving external projects.
