On January 21 and 22, ITL hosted the third project meeting for CYROS, a cross-border cooperation project funded by the Interreg Italy-Croatia program. CYROS aims to improve sustainable intermodal solutions along the Adriatic Cycle Route, a key cycling infrastructure that runs through the coastal regions of the Adriatic, offering opportunities for sustainable tourism and territorial enhancement.

Specifically, the project focuses on developing regional and cross-border intermodal connections, such as bike-train, bike-bus, and bike-ferry combinations, to provide alternative and sustainable mobility solutions for both residents and tourists. Additionally, it involves the creation of digital tools (ICT) designed to facilitate the planning and management of information for users of the multimodal network, as well as the establishment of joint training programs.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the upcoming project activities, primarily related to mapping the cycle route, identifying key services for cycle tourism, and defining joint investments to improve infrastructure and promote the route at the European level. Lastly, future events were discussed, where the main project results will be presented and debated with key stakeholders. These events will play a crucial role in strengthening dialogue among institutions, tourism operators, and local communities, promoting the Adriatic Cycle Route as a model for sustainable tourism and cross-border cooperation.
