On June 16th, ITL, lead partner of CROSSFREIGHT, presented the project results to the members of the Emilia-Romagna Intermodal Cluster (ER.I.C.), the regional network which brings together the Port of Ravenna, freight villages, rail yards and intermodal terminals.

The meeting offered an opportunity to highlight the pilot implemented at the Port of Ravenna, a digital module designed to optimise shunting operations. It also showcased the solutions tested by all project partners in Italy and Croatia. Covering areas such as infrastructure maintenance, real-time monitoring and safety management, the pilots addressed a wide range of challenges and provided a comprehensive overview of innovation initiatives developed on both sides of the Adriatic.

The solutions developed within CROSSFREIGHT are intended to be transferable to other intermodal contexts, making local dissemination events especially valuable for fostering exchange, dialogue and cross-pollination among stakeholders.

The audience participated actively throughout the session, raising questions on both the technical aspects of the pilots and how European funding programmes and cross-border cooperation work.
