Porto Corsini. On Sunday 30th September 2018, in the Porto Corsini cruise terminal, it was officially launched the free pilot electric bikes renting service set up in the framework of the Interreg Italy-Croatia project Moses. This service was developed by ITL Foundation (Institute on Transport and Logistic) in collaboration with Ravenna Passengers Terminal and Central-Northern Adriatic Sea Port Authority. The service consists of 19 electric bikes and a “Mobile hub” for the bikes storage and maintenance.

Great success for the first renting day. More than 20 tourists of the Azamara Quest ship used the service. At the end of the renting, all the tourists using the electric bikes declared to be very happy about the service and its quality. Moreover, using GPSs systems installed on each bike, it was possible to map exactly where the tourists are gone. So it was possible to discover that more than half of the tourists who had rented a bike had reached the Ravenna historical city center using the Start Romagna ferry service and the existing cycle paths connecting Porto Corsini to Ravenna passing from Punta Marina and Via Trieste. Others tourists reached the beaches in Marina di Ravenna and the pines forests in the northern Lidi.

The renting service set up in the framework of Interreg Italy-Croatia project Moses, are carried out until the end of October 2018. However ITL Foundation signed an agreement with Ravenna Passengers Terminal and Central-Northern Adriatic Sea Port Authority aimed to allow the continuation of the renting service after the end of the European project.
