The ITL's premise further North is in Piacenza. The offices are located in the nineteenth-century palace of the Morigi College, in the historical city center.

The Province of Piacenza present a strategic geographic position inside of the logistic regional and national system: it’s located in an important intersection of road, railways lines, as a link between:

• North and South, therefore between the metropolitan system of Milan and the production area of Emilia Romagna;
• East and West between Liguria, Piemonte (Southern and Central France) and Verona, Mantova, Padova e Western Europe.

The strategic position, the infrastructure of the area (road, highway and rail junction of national importance) and the widespread and specialized business fabric in the field of Transport, leading to the creation of Piacenza’s Logistic Park. In 1997 the municipality of Piacenza has identified some industrial areas near Le Mose, for a total of 2 million square metres, to devote to logistics activities.
