The Institute for Transport and Logistics confirmed at the Presidency of the European Network of Logistics Competence Centres
The General Assembly of the European Network of Logistics Competence Centres (www.openenlocc.net) took place in Turku (Finland) on the 23rd and 24th of July 2009, hosted by the Centre for Maritime Studies of the University of Turku and chaired by ITL.
During the first day technical sessions concerning ongoing projects in city logistics, in logistics public policies for SMEs and in intermodal transport in the Alpine area took place. The day was concluded with a seminar on "administration and logistics" hold by KLOK, the Logistics Competence Centre of Stuttgart region.
During the second day the President and the Secretary of the Network were elected. The Institute for Transport and Logistics was unanimously confirmed at the Presidency of the Network. The President is Mr Alberto Preti, Head of ITL Bologna branch. KLOK was unanimously confirmed as Open ENLoCC Secretariat. Mr Martin Brandt is the Network Secretary.
